In June 2022, Coinbase announced that it would be closing Coinbase Pro and moving its full suite of crypto trading to one platform - Coinbase. Coinbase Pro has disabled access to its API, so at ZenLedger we are recommending users to obtain a CSV of their complete transaction history from Coinbase Pro (through Coinbase). It is a good idea to hold onto this CSV for the user's own records, and it can also be used to import any transactions into ZenLedger that haven't yet been imported. In this article, we'll go over how to obtain that CSV.
Step-by-Step Instructions to Generate and Import Coinbase Pro CSV:
Step 1: Log into your Coinbase Pro account and navigate to the Statements page (https://pro.coinbase.com/profile/statements).
Step 2: Look to the right side of the page and locate Generate custom report.
Step 3: Set the Report type value to Account.
Step 4: Set the Portfolio value to All Portfolios.
Step 5: Set the Start Date to the day before you created your Coinbase Pro account (or any date before that). Set the End Date to today’s date. Set the Format to CSV.
Step 6: Click Generate Report. Once the report is ready, you will receive it via email.
Step 7: In your ZenLedger account, navigate to the Import tab at the top of your page.
Step 8: Search for Coinbase Pro in the list of exchanges and then click Upload CSV. Here you can add the Coinbase Pro CSV.
Note:
If you already have previous Coinbase Pro transactions added to your account via a past CSV or an API, you'll want to make sure that you edit down the CSV you've now generated to only include new transactions that haven't yet been added to your account (to avoid duplicates).
