How To Download the TurboTax files
To use TurboTax Online and import your form 8949, first login to ZenLedger. Once you have created your reports, you can download your TurboTax files. 

Just click on “Download TurboTax files” and you will get a zip file.

For TurboTax Online, use the csv file.

For TurboTax Desktop, use the txf file. 

Taxpayers who purchase the 2018 Premier and above versions of Intuit’s TurboTax Online will have access to a new Cryptocurrency section. 

Then log into TurboTax Online. 

You will click on “Take me to my Return” in the middle of the page.

Then click “Federal” on the left.

Then click “Edit/Add” to the right of Cryptocurrency. 

Then click “Add More” on the bottom right. 

Select ZenLedger and then scroll down to “Continue” on the bottom right.

Drag and Drop or select the Turbotax csv from ZenLedger. 

You are now all set. 

Get your ZenLedger Form 8949 to load into TurboTax. You will get a zip file that you can open up. It will have your TurboTax desktop and online files in it. 

When you log into TurboTax, 

Click on “Take me to my Return” in the middle of the page.

Click “Federal” on the left.

Click “Edit/Add” to the right of Cryptocurrency. 

Select ZenLedger and then scroll down to “Continue” on the bottom right.

Drag and Drop or select the Turbotax csv from ZenLedger. 

You are now all set. 

For the TurboTax Premier Desktop version:
-Open (continue) your return in TurboTax.

-From the TurboTax File menu in the upper-left corner, select Import > From Accounting Software (Windows) or Import > From TXF Files (Mac) and select the .txf file you got from the ZenLedger zip file.

-Follow the on-screen instructions.
